With over 30 years experience in HR, leadership development, and organisational strategy, Jonetani has built a career defined by leadership, empowerment, and a commitment to growth.
As CEO at the Fiji Commerce & Employers Federation, Jonetani played a pivotal role in advocating for business interests, guiding the strategic direction of the organisation, and empowering members to thrive in an evolving market. Prior to this, Jonetani served as Manager of Learning & Development and Manager of HR at the Fiji National Provident Fund, where they drove strategic HR planning, organisational restructuring, and succession planning to foster talent retention and development.
Jonetani is a Human Resources Practitioner with qualifications that include a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Double Major in Accounting & Finance and Human Resource Management) from Griffith University, Australia.

Banuve Yalimaiwai
Senior HR Consultant
Banuve is an accomplished HR professional with extensive experience in strategic HR, organisational development, and sustainability. With over two decades of leadership in HR management, Banuve has proven expertise in shaping business culture, driving employee engagement, and fostering sustainable growth.
Banuve’s most recent role was GM People, Culture & Sustainability at Paradise Beverages (Fiji) Ltd, where he played a pivotal role in transforming HR practices and embedding sustainability initiatives across the organisation. He led the integration of HR practices following the acquisition by Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, successfully overseeing organisational design, restructure, and talent development programs.
A Certified Professional Member of the Australian Human Resource Institute (CPAHRI), Banuve holds qualifications in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, and a Diploma in Industrial Relations & Personnel Management from the University of the South Pacific, Fiji.

Thelma Taria
Senior HR Consultant
Thelma is a qualified business executive with vast leadership experience in senior and executive management positions. Thelma was instrumental in setting up AVI Pacific People in February 2019. She is a certified member of the Australian HR Institute (CAHRI) and Certified Professional of the Fiji HR Institute (CPFHRI). Thelma has served
on senior leadership teams in Fiji, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and Samoa.
Thelma possesses more than 20 years’ experience in senior HRM roles across statutory and private sector
organisations. She has a proven track record for delivering business results, driving organizational change and has a great passion for developing and nurturing strong leaders and teams.
She serves as an Independent Director on a number of Boards in Fiji and is a member (MAICD) of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Thelma holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) specialising in Human Resources Management from Central Queensland University.
